What is cold brew?
Cold Brew coffee is made by steeping medium to coarse ground coffee in water for 12-24 hours, the longer you steep the grounds the stronger your concentration will be. When steeping is complete, simply filter out the grounds and you have ready to use cold brew concentrate. Depending on your preference, you can add some ice cubes and drink your cold brew as is, or you can dilute it with your preferred liquid, water, milk etc. Cold brew is never exposed to heat, so it does not have the acidity that is found in brewed coffee.
“Mizudashi” Coffee Pot
Mizudashi means cold brew coffee. With our Mizudashi coffee pot, manufactured by Hario, you will be able to enjoy a delicious cold brew right at home. This easy to use pot makes brewing simple and clean up a breeze. Simply pick up some medium to coarse ground coffee, (might I suggest our Sunshine Cold Brew Blend), add 8-10 tablespoons of coffee into to the filter. Then fill the pot with cool, purified water, give the grounds a stir, place the lid on and set the pot in the fridge. Let the grounds steep for 12-24 hrs. Once the required steeping time has been met, remove the filter containing the grounds. Just like that, you have a delicious cold brew awaiting!
